It starts a new tech off with a strong foundation, and fills in knowledge gaps for the more experienced tech. Perk : Techs enrolled in Core will receive a free 6-month Student Membership at Appliantology (this is a one-time membership). Advanced Courses Bundle Tuition: $670 (retail value $1700) Designed for students who have completed the Core course , these Advanced courses dive deeper into appliance technology in specific appliances and provide more troubleshooting practice. *** Master Certification requires completion of the Core course and all of these Advanced Courses. Advanced Refrigerator Repair 30-50 hours Advanced Oven & Range Repair 25-35 hours Advanced Washer, Dryer, and Dishwasher Repair 25-30 hours Advanced Troubleshooting 25-30 hours 1. Course Bundles - these are subsidized by Mr. Appliance LLC, giving you a tremendous discount. Bundle 1. Includes 3 "full-support" courses: Fundamentals of Appliance Repair , Refrigerator Repair , and Advanced Troubleshooting . Full support means students get personalized help in the Ask the Teacher Forums, take exams personally graded by Team Samurai, and earn Master Certification . Tuition: $395 (retail value $1195) Bundle 2. Includes the "self-study" version of the Bundle 1 courses. Students do not have access to the Forums, nor does this lead to Master Certification. Tuition: $150 (value $745) Bundle 3. This is just the "self-study" version of Fundamentals of Appliance Repair . Tuition: $50 (value $345) 2. Individual Courses - these are newer courses that are not part of the subsidized Course Bundle program, but they are offered at a 20% discount compared to the retail value. Techs will get the most out of these courses if they complete a Course Bundle first. Washer and Dryer Repair : $295 (value $375) Oven and Range Repair : $295 (value $375)Frequently Asked Questions Does every tech need to take the Core course? The short answer is that every tech should take the Core Appliance Repair Training course. It is our most popular course, helping beginners to lay a strong foundation, and more experienced techs to fill in knowledge gaps and improve their troubleshooting. That being said, it is not a prerequisite for the Advanced Courses Bundle . However, it is a requirement if a tech wants to earn Master Certification . How does a tech earn Master Certification? A tech must complete all 5 of our full-length technical courses (Core plus the Advanced Bundle) and earn 90% or higher on each quiz and exam. This is achievable! Every test has at least two attempts available, and we offer personalized help when needed to understand a concept. Why earn Master Certification? Most importantly, because it encourages the tech to master as much of the material as possible. But they also get some great bling, including a Certificate and the ability to wear the special Master uniform and patch. The Core Appliance Repair Training comes with one year of access. The Advanced Courses Bundle comes with two years of access.
